Roi Lynn: My Co-Workers Are Like Another Family
Roi Lynn has been a long-standing employee at Safeway since 2002. She enjoys being around people, but needed help being able to remember her assigned tasks and stay focused on completing her work.
Roi Lynn’s Service Representative Randi created a system where Roi Lynn had four images of a broom stuck to her name tag with Velcro. “She had four of them because she had to do four sweeps in a shift. If [her co-workers] saw she had them on her pin, then they would ask if she still had sweeps to do or when they were all or mostly gone they would tell her good job for completing her sweeps.” Roi lynn said this was one example of how Entrust Community Services has been “helpful in many ways.”
Along with staying focused, Roi Lynn can arrange her own transportation, read her paystub, and build great relationships with her co-workers. She considers the staff at Safeway like another family. Randi even praised the Safeway staff for being “really awesome natural supports.”
